Only a few years before his death, Mrs. Salomon learns that her father is a Holocaust survivor. He almost never spoke about his traumatic past. He was a joyful person who taught her how to celebrate every day of life. For many years, Mrs. Salomon did not even know she had Jewish roots. Only after her father's death does she begin to research his story and painfully realize that she never really knew her father.
