A young film student from Munich, Germany, has the desire to picturize a unique story from the 1950s, which his father experienced when he was just a little boy himself. Shooting the story, however, means emphasizing, condensing as well as dramatizing the story. A process his father isn’t all too willing to accept. In order to get the public reactions for his film, which he’s hoping for, he’s casting a famous actor to play his father.
A sentimental regional film unfolding into a film about making a film itself.
